Country Music Continues to Shame Regular Music Industry

Had you assumed that country-music acts still managed to sell albums because their targeted demographics hadn’t yet fully embraced the Internet? Well, how do you explain this: While the rest of the live music industry is slumping in 2010, country-music concerts are selling and selling. To see this old fashioned bunch of artists take the outdoor stage at Lincoln Center’s Damrosch Park was quite a unique experience. New Yorkers gathered around the stage, decked out in cowboy boots and hats, ready to do some two stepping on the specially designed dance floor.
