CMA Music Festival: The Biggest Music Event Dedicated to a Genre, Anywhere. It’s Almost Here
While the CMA Music Festival officially starts June 10 and runs through the 13th, many of the side events are already up and running. You see, the big event at LP Field, otherwise known as Titan Stadium, is only part of the whole thing. Smaller side shows go on all around Nashville, in so many venues it’s hard to find out about them all, much less list them. You almost have to be here and find out about them one by one. But there is more below.
All in all it’s the biggest Country Music Show anywhere, and it’s spread all over Nashville, and includes lots of fan face time with the stars.
Tonight, for example, there’s the CMT Music Awards airing live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. The ABC Summer Block Party gets started on Friday, June 11 and continues through Saturday, June 12. Times are 11:30 AM-5:00 PM/CT. This year’s Block Party is hosted by Rossi Morreale (Dating in the Dark) and Brandon Barash (General Hospital).
Scheduled to take the stage at LP Field June 10-13 are Trace Adkins, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, Jason Aldean, Billy Currington, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Kellie Pickler, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band.
Taylor Swift is also to take part in a 13-hour fan meet-and-greet and short acoustic performance at The Bridgestone Arena during the festival.
ABC will be in town to put together a special titled “CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock.” It will air as a 3-hour special on ABC Sept. 1.

Not difficult to figure out. What other GENRE even has a major festival, much less as many major artists and fans gathered art one event. Bonnaroo has the artists and fans, but not for a single genre. Thnx for the comment.
