Lee Brice Headed For Album Launch With Hit Single
A prime lesson for aspiring songwriters and artists on how the recording industry works. First release a single to radio, then follow with an album. That is if the single is successful. And if it’s not? The business is strewn with deals that didn’t work because the first single didn’t. In the case of a new artist, who’s all primed and feeling on the top of the world because of a record deal, it’s major disappointment. But here’s a case of success. The kind of thing everybody likes.
MusicRow.com reports that Lee Brice is headed into next week’s album release with a hit lead single, “A Woman Like You.” The track has been certified gold by the RIAA for sales of 500,000 digital downloads. Penned by Johnny Bulford, Phil Barton and Jon Stone the song has already reached No. 1 on the mainstream country singles charts.
