With Country’s biggest night, the CMA Awards, fast approaching the news is getting hot and heavy about the way things are shaping up.

All five country music stars nominated for Entertainer of the Year at the 2011 CMA Awards will perform at the November ceremony, the Country Music Association announced on Tuesday Sept. 20.

Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and Brad Paisley will all take the stage before one is crowned Entertainer of the Year, the CMA’s top prize. CMA Awards Nominations Announced

CMA nominee announcements show some surprises and usual suspects, but of course, the main thing we’re rooting for is Brad Paisley for Album of the Year with his “This Is Country Music” release. We admit we’re biased because our publishing partner ParMusic Group has a cut on it. It’s a neat song called “Toothbrush,” written by ParMusic Writer Danny Simpson.

Topping the list of final nominees for The 45th Annual CMA Awards are Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, and Taylor Swift with five nods each. Right on their heels are The Band Perry and Zac Brown Band, who each received four nominations as a group while individual members Kimberly Perry of The Band Perry, Coy Bowles and Zac Brown of Zac Brown Band each earned a solo nod as a songwriter.

New Video From Brad Paisley And Carrie Underwood — ‘Remind Me’

The hits just keep on coming from Brad Paisley’s latest album, “This is Country Music.” First there was the title cut, then “Old Alabama,” featuring none other than the Group Alabama with a sampling of their hits. Now comes the Carrie Underwood Duet, “Remind Me.”

Of course the song we’re rooting for is “Toothbrush,” published by our music publisher partner ParMusic Group through their BMI firm, Par G Music. But there’s some stiff competition on such a star-studded album. In addition to Carrie Underwood and Alabama, there’s Blake Shelton, Don Henley, Marty Stuart, Sheryl Crow and Carl Jackson.

But on to more about the latest video. Read the rest of this entry »
