Nashville Songwriters Foundation – Paul McCartney Honorary Inductee to Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame

Sir Paul McCartney was presented an Honorary Induction into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame just minutes prior to his acclaimed performance at Nashville’s the Bridgestone Arena on July 26, it was announced today by Roger Murrah, board chairman of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Foundation.

While the CMA Music Festival officially starts June 10 and runs through the 13th, many of the side events are already up and running. You see, the big event at LP Field, otherwise known as Titan Stadium, is only part of the whole thing. The stars came out in a big way, as did a number of companies and the American people when GAC presented Music City Keep On Playin’ — A Benefit For Flood Relief.
Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum and Dierks Bentley were among the artists who delivered nearly 20 songs during Sunday’s three-hour live special from Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium. The event raised more than $1.7 million as of midnight CT and counting. Read the rest of this entry »
Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift Among Country Stars Set For Nashville Benefit | Billboard.com

Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Toby Keith, Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood are among the artists who will perform at a benefit to assist victims of the middle Tennessee flooding. The concert was organized by McGraw, Hill, and Coran Capshaw at Red Light Management and will be presented by AEG Live/The Messina Group, Live Nation and Outback Concerts.
