GAC’s “Noteworthy at the Opry” to Premiere with Urban’s Induction

Who would have thought just a few years ago that a hard-driving pop-sounding guitar slinger like Keith Urban would become a member of the once staid Grand Ole Opry? Too pop they’d say. Country is just going to hell, they still say in many cases. But keith is about to be inducted into the Opry for real.

As reported by MusicRow.com, Noteworthy at the Opry on GAC is the next chapter in the Grand Ole Opry’s television presence. A special live sneak peek episode will air this Saturday 4/21 at 8 pm CT and will feature the induction of the Opry’s newest member Keith Urban. In addition to Urban’s induction, the episode will feature interviews and performances by Trace Adkins and Josh Turner.

Country star Keith Urban schedules first performance since vocal cord surgery

Missing Keith Urban? You’re not the only one. He’s been out of commission for months now with a vocal cord problem. And that’s a really tough one for such a high-energy entertainer.

Keith will return to the stage on the Feb. 3 Grand Ole Opry. It’ll be his first performance since undergoing vocal surgery. The country superstar had a polyp removed from a vocal cord at Vanderbilt University Medical Center late last year and has been on vocal rest.
