Eagles, Keith Urban & Dixie Chicks in Concert!

How’s this for a super concert: Eagles, Chicks & Urban together for a concert. The shindig brings the Dixie Chicks together again for their first concert in 4 years. And the first time ever for this whole gang together.

It’s a tour, the first stop of which is scheduled for Toronto on June 8, 2010. More at Music Row Mag.

Of course, the only one an outside songwriter stands a chance with is Urban, and he’s an outside chance. But he does request demos when he’s got a project coming up.

The Chicks still controversial from the unfortunate comments they made on foreign soil about President George W? We heard something about that on Nashville radio this morning. Host Gerry House seemed to think talk of a boycott of Keith Urban was absurd. What do you think?

Capitol Announces EMI Records Nashville

According to Music Row, Nashville’s music business trade publication, “EMI Music’s Capitol Nashville is forming a new imprint. Designed to be a sister label to Capitol Nashville, which includes artists Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Darius Rucker, Keith Urban and Emily West, the new imprint, to be called EMI Records Nashville, will be a new home for talent, with a dedicated team to support a new roster of country artists.
