NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug 25, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — Country music’s most famous show is coming home.

Grand Ole Opry officials today announced that the show, displaced from its permanent home due to May’s historic Nashville flood, will return to the Grand Ole Opry House with a star-packed show Tues., Sept. 28. Among the artists scheduled for the show are Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Charlie Daniels Band, Diamond Rio, Jimmy Dickens, Del McCoury Band, Montgomery Gentry, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Mel Tillis and Josh Turner. Nashville Songwriters Hall of Famers Scheduled To Perform: E-NEWS on NSAI

More than a dozen members of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame will perform at a special benefit concert for flood relief, on Saturday, July 17, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. To be held at Nashville’s newest outdoor concert venue, The Woods at Fontanel, the event is sponsored by Fontanel, Anchor Trailways & Tours and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Foundation.

Scheduled to perform at “Songwriters Sing For Nashville” are Matraca Berg, Bob DiPiero, Kye Fleming, Dallas Frazier, Dickey Lee, Dennis Morgan, Roger Murrah, Hugh Prestwood, Mark D. Sanders, Don Wayne, Jim Weatherly, Mike Reid and a few surprise guests. All ticket proceeds and all receipts from the day’s tours at the Fontanel Mansion will be donated to First Tennessee Bank for flood relief.
