Trace Adkins and Kristin Chenoweth will co-host the 2nd Annual American Country Awards, live from Las Vegas, Dec. 5 on FOX.
Adkins returns to host the youngest of the nationally televised country award show… the only one that allows fans to vote in traditional and new categories such as touring.

Trace Adkins Announces Arrival of New Album

Ever since Trace Adkins announced he was making a surprise label move from Capital Records to Show Dog-Universal, everybody’s been waiting to hear how the new association would affect his recording. Soon we’ll all know. As Music Row.com puts it:
Trace Adkins has announced the release of his new album Proud To Be Here, due August 2 on Show Dog-Universal Music. Adkins revealed details about the album during his CMA Music Festival performance at LP Field Saturday night 6/11.

Grand Ole Opry officials today announced that the show, displaced from its permanent home due to May’s historic Nashville flood, will return to the Grand Ole Opry House with a star-packed show Tues., Sept. 28. Among the artists scheduled for the show are Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Charlie Daniels Band, Diamond Rio, Jimmy Dickens, Del McCoury Band, Montgomery Gentry, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Mel Tillis and Josh Turner. Trace Adkins Switches Labels. Goes to Show Dog-Universal Music.

In a surprise announcement attached to a scheduled press conference about a label merger, we learn that Trace Adkins is moving from Capital Records to Show Dog-Universal Music, the merger of which was the original subject of the gathering!
Trace explained it this way, according to website, All About Country: “While touring together this past summer, Toby Keith and I had some time to get to know each other. Just watching him on stage every night acting like a 12-year-old on Christmas morning, really fired me up, and I said to myself, ‘I want some of that!’ I knew it wasn’t an act, ‘cause Toby ain’t much of an actor.” The room exploded into laughter.
Trace has been with Capitol Records Nashville since the time he got his first record deal. He was signed by then Label President Scott Hendricks.
