The Wreckers’ Jessica Harp Quits Singing Career to Focus on Songwriting

Jessica Harp, who returned to a solo career after partnering with Michelle Branch for the Wreckers, has decided to quit pursuing a singing career, according to a letter she posted on her Web site. Harp will concentrate on songwriting instead. However, she mentioned in the letter that her album will be released digitally on March 16. Harp had released two solo singles, “A Woman Needs” and “Boy Like Me,” after the Wreckers parted ways. The Wreckers’ hits included “Leave the Pieces,” “My, Oh My” and “Tennessee.”

  1. I think in the end Jessica will be better off because the real money is in the songwriting, not the singing. She’ll probably have a longer carreer this way…
